WebsiteRefreshingly simple
In less than 12 months, we designed and rolled out 15 new, user-friendly websites based on a standardised content management system for the Niederösterreichische Kulturholding - including the Landesmuseum Niederösterreich, the Kunsthalle Krems and the Karikaturmuseum, which are all united under the umbrella of the Kunstmeile Krems. Museums and cultural venues that are far apart geographically and in terms of content, such as Carnuntum, Bühne Baden, Museum Gugging and the Children's Art Lab, were also brought together within a standardised design system, taking into account the individual identities of the individual venues.
The aim was to strengthen the unity of the museums under the NÖKU umbrella brand, while each institution retains its individual digital identity. In collaboration with NÖKU, the museums and based on the CMS structure of the agency MIR, a user-friendly platform was created that impresses with customised designs, clear page structures and an intuitive user experience - including the integration of ticketing, compliance with WCAG standards and optimisation for SEO. From the concept phase to design and technical implementation, we worked with the client to meet the specific requirements of each museum, theatre, festival and archaeological site to create a harmonious but diverse user experience that reflects the rich cultural landscape of Lower Austria.
Example 1) Kinderkunstlabor
Individually designed modules and a targeted colour scheme can be used flexibly depending on the content category. In close collaboration with the children's art lab, a colourful and clearly structured website was created to accompany the opening of the new children's art lab.
Example 2) Museum Gugging
The focus is on a clear and colourful design that corresponds to the CI of Museum Gugging. The mascot accompanies the user from the homepage to the footer. The compact page structure and the targeted use of anchor links enable quick navigation.
