With the Wien Museum, we can look back on a longstanding collaboration during which we have worked on projects such as the reopening of St. Virgil’s Chapel, the permanent exhibition in the Haydnhaus, and the reopened Roman Museum. We created multimedia guides whose intelligent design creates new approaches to museum education. Thanks to in-depth information jointly written by us and the respective museums, visitors can immerse themselves more fully in the various thematic areas. St. Virgil’s Chapel—one of the best-preserved Gothic interiors in Vienna—was reopened after extensive restoration work in 2015. A particular challenge was presented by the narrow and limited conditions in this fascinating sacred space. NOUS designed a guide that serves as a sensible expansion of the exhibition area in order to give the numerous layers of content sufficient space. The audio—accompanied by medieval choral music—in German and English guarantees an atmospheric experience.
