The art collection of the European Central Bank ECB in Frankfurt currently contains over 480 works of art from 200 different artists from 25 countries. The art collection is mostly not open to the public. NOUS developed an app whose aim was to make an attractive form of digital representation of the collection transparent to all art lovers instead of printed collection catalogs. In addition, there is background information on the ECB's changing special exhibitions every year, which has its focus on predominantly contemporary young art from one of the EU member states. The artworks can be easily selected by means of image recognition and offered for selected additional information by means of augmented reality, wherein the image recognition takes place onsite. Another feature is the information about the architecture of the main ECB building and the Kunst-am-Bau. The app allows you to get information about the works of art on the basis of different depth levels. Therefore media such as video, audio, slideshows and augmented reality are used. In order to provide an overview of the architecture on site, a 3D model of the ECB's main building in Frankfurt was created, where the individual works of art are located.
