LinkBeing Part of the Museum
As part of the “InGe” project, an interactive history platform was developed in collaboration with the Haus der Geschichte Baden-Württemberg. With a strong focus on participation, the progressive web app enhances both the on-site museum experience and the preparation and follow-up surrounding a visit.
Participatory and interactive features such as citizen science, social media and a photo booth actively engage new visitor groups. Visitors can share their knowledge, collect stories and explore them in greater depth later on any mobile device. Available in German, English, Turkish and French, the platform can now be accessed from anywhere via www.mit-inge.de.
In addition to engaging facts and content related to the permanent exhibition, the digital guide offers a wide range of opportunities for participation, including discussions, polls and games. All content can be managed and published independently by the museum staff using the specially adapted “NOUS Conductor” content management system.
In short, “InGe” allows the museum to operate with complete editorial independence while transforming visitors from passive recipients into active contributors.
